PrattSchool.org :: Test Results
Since Pratt re-opened as an elementary school in 2000 it has consistently posted some of the city’s very best test scores. The following are the MCA-II scores for Pratt and other nearby Minneapolis schools for the 2006–2007 school year:
| School | Reading | Math |
|---|---|---|
| Pratt | 83 | 68 |
| Marcy Open | 70 | 54 |
| Seward | 75 | 57 |
| Sullivan | 52 | 39 |
| Dowling | 80 | 65 |
| District Average | 61 | 51 |
| State Average | 72 | 52 |
For the 2005–2006 school year Pratt was ranked 2nd in the district (exceeded only by Lake Harriet Upper), and for the 2003–2004 school year, Pratt was ranked 2nd in reading and 3rd in math for the entire state of Minnesota. It must be kept in mind that Pratt is the smallest school in the district, which means that a few students having an exceptionally good or bad day, or being absent on testing day, can skew test results significantly in comparison to other schools. However, for the five years in which Pratt has been tested, it has consistently scored at or near the top in all standardized tests and measurements.
In addition to the above MCA-II scores, Pratt also turned in outstanding NALT scores:
| School | Reading | Math |
|---|---|---|
| Pratt | 209.5 | 208.1 |
| District Average | 193.7 | 200.5 |
| National Average | 201.0 | 203.0 |

Lastly, the official 2006 Report to the Community, published each year by the Minneapolis school district, contains more statistics about Pratt and its performance.
